The take-home review round is where strong submissions get downgraded. You wrote the code days ago, and the panel asks why you structured it that way, what you would do with another week, and why your tests cover what they cover. Vera runs the walkthrough by phone: you narrate your submission and it questions each decision, including the shortcuts you hoped nobody would notice.
