Two disciplines, and you are probably neglecting one.
Check-ins that ask about the stations you avoid, not just the running.
Runners skip the sled. Lifters skip the running. Both find out on race day.
What Vera actually is
A phone call with someone who is not there. You say the thing out loud, they answer the way a real person would, and you get to do it again — as many times as it takes, with nobody listening.

Not practising doesn’t save you anything.
The ticket, the evening, the weeks of applying — all of it is spent before anyone says a word. The practice is the only cheap part, and the only part that changes how the rest goes.

What she'll actually ask
She asks these the way a real person would, then follows up on whatever you say.
- Which stations did you train this week?
- Which one have you not touched in a fortnight?
- Have you run immediately after a station recently?
- How is your sled work going, honestly?
- What is your weakest station, and what are you doing about it?
More about this one
Hyrox punishes specialists. People arriving from running get destroyed by the sled push and the wall balls, people arriving from the gym blow up on the fourth kilometre, and almost everyone under-practises the compromised running that comes immediately after a station. The training gap is usually obvious from the outside and invisible from the inside. Vera asks each week which stations you actually trained, which is normally the question that surfaces it.

Common questions
Does it write Hyrox programming?
No. Bring a plan or a coach — the calls handle whether you are actually doing all of it.
How often should I practise compromised running?
More than most people do. Ask your coach, and expect the answer to be uncomfortable.
Is this useful for doubles or relay?
Yes, though the station split changes what you need to train. Mention your format in the prompt.
What if I am bad at it?
Everyone is, on the first one. That is the entire reason it happens here and not there.
What if I do not know what to say?
She asks the first question and follows up on whatever you answer. You never start from a blank page.
What if it is awkward?
It is, for about twenty seconds. Then it is a conversation, and nobody heard the twenty seconds.
